Michael Levi
Professor of Criminology, Cardiff University

Dr. Michael Levi has been Professor of Criminology at Cardiff University since 1991 and has conducted research on fraud and organised crime since 1972, most recently reviewing the effectiveness of privately funded fraud policing. Recent public roles include membership of the Cabinet Office steering group on proceeds of crime; Scientific Expert on Organised Crime to the Council of Europe; and Parliamentary Specialist Adviser to the Welsh Affairs Committee review of policing and anti-social behaviour in Wales. He is currently researching the cost of fraud and its sentencing for the Home Office, ACPO and the Government Fraud Review.
