Moneyfacts Group - A history
Moneyfacts Group was founded in 1988 with the launch of Moneyfacts, a ground-breaking six page financial fact sheet.
For the first time intermediaries could find savings and lending rates from all the major banks and building societies in one place, saving them vast amounts of time. Moneyfacts has expanded hugely from these beginnings to become the indispensible financial monthly;
the authoritative independent source trusted by intermediaries, providers and journalists alike.
Moneyfacts Group supplies best buy charts and comment to virtually all the press and media every week, and data that is used by the Bank
of England, the Office of Fair Trading and the United Kingdom Parliament, as well as supplying regular industry surveys that are used by the Building Societies Association.
On top of its three monthly magazines, the Group now has a range of sophisticated professional technology systems that produce real-time access to up to date information to virtually every bank and building society in the UK, as well as to intermediaries.
Moneyfacts' data powers over half the UK's financial websites, whilst the Group also designs and hosts sites for organisations, like Which?.
Its own consumer website - www.moneyfacts.co.uk the leading price comparison website, enables people to compare thousands of personal finance products in seconds.
Across its systems, the Group handles over five million searches a year.
Today Moneyfacts Group employs over 100 staff at its state-of-the-art headquarters in Norwich, and still remains faithful to its original concept - to provide accurate, independent financial information in an accessible format.
