The Moneyfacts Awards is one of the highlights of the personal finance industry calendar. Rigorous product monitoring is carried out throughout the preceding year to determine the winners, and the intermediary community is also consulted for feedback.

The finalists and eventual winners of the Moneyfacts Awards are decided upon via a combination of methods. For all product specific categories, detailed weekly analysis of the data provided to us and displayed in Moneyfacts magazine, or on any of the Moneyfacts online systems, between 1 March 2017 and 28 February 2018 is undertaken by our well-qualified research team.
For the Service from a Mortgage Provider, Online Mortgage Provider, Secured Loan Provider, Conveyancing/legal search Provider and Surveyor categories, the intermediary community is given the chance to vote for their preferred providers in a survey running from 2 January 2018 to 16 February 2018. Those voting are asked to consider all aspects of the service offered by providers between 1 March 2017 and the point at which they complete the survey. An internal judging panel then assesses the results and also decides the final positions of finalists in the innovation category.
For broker categories, we invite entries/nominations to be submitted between 2 January and 16 February 2018. Once the shortlists are announced in March, the finalists have the opportunity to invite their own contacts to submit feedback on their service via an online survey. In combination with an internal judging panel, this feedback decides the final positions for these categories.
